In March 2004, we employed a young woman into our centre, to perform the routine, yet essential tasks in our kitchen area and routine tasks with our children.
The Achieve Foundation Employment Scheme performs an essential role within the community and the staff trainers employed by the organisation are extremely professional and have a genuine concern for the job that they do.
As a result of placing Ruth Stevenson, and since then, Amy Curry, into our employment, to work in our second childcare centre, I now have fully trained employees that are capable of performing the necessary tasks each day. The level of supervision required is no greater than any other staff member and I believe that these employees will be long-term employment, as the Achieve Foundation team have placed the appropriate person for the job.
Ruth and Amy's ability to work with the same degree of supervision as the other staff has been due to the intense and successful training program that was implemented by the Achieve Foundation team. This training has been carried out at no cost to my organisation.
My opinion of this scheme and of the training staff who are responsible to train the employee, is that the scheme performs an essential role within the community and the staff employed by the organisation to train are extremely professional.
